This piece emerged through hours of cutting and creating, it was made up of 165 stained glass birds which were shown as part of an exhibition in 2022. Similar to a formation of birds, I hoped this installation echoed how through lockdown we had all formed a connection. An unspoken signal where we’d known when to swoop and dive for support and safety, gaining strength in numbers through an uncertain journey. The public were able to become part of the murmuration by purchasing a bird. All birds were sold and flew off to new homes all over the world.
